Except for the Blogger advert at top which is pretty much out of my control (unless I pay up...), I've broken up the tables and went all css. So those using older browsers may find guff looking even weirder than before.

Early in my adult life I strayed into and then out of Zen Buddhism. It was a couple of interesting years, to say the least. Some day I'll write about it....Anyway, on occasion I'm asked why, after all this time, I still consider Zen to be a part of my general philosophical makeup, being that I'm an atheist and all.

The reason behind this is simple: I stay for the sex talk.

 
In a former, more technically-oriented creative life, today would have me going graphic geek crazy. So how do I see this event since putting away those horn-rimmed glasses?

I'm just left to ask, is this anything like a Bush-like Republican proposing to raise taxes on just the bottom 2 percent?

Having once voted for Jerry Brown (yep, believe it, it's true), I admit to a certain fondness to flat tax plans. But now that I know Grover Norquist has the hots for them, I'll have to rethink my fiscal desires. It's one of those friend of my friend must be my enemy sort of things.

I'm thinking of updating the look of guff. And perhaps Blurried Musings, as well. Even considering the blogging process leads to a series of mental logjams right now, and I'm up for a change to stir things up.

Though a site makeover will probably fail to improve the situation, it'll certainly clear my head. So expect lots more purple everywhere...I'm kidding!
