Apparently a Florida Appeals court feels
"there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization."
The major press organization which was "totally vindicated" by their ruling?
Fox Television.
Sometimes the jokes write themselves.

I've not found the various iterations of the "Bomb Iraq" song all that funny, independent of the flavor of political venom being spewed. However,
this one comes pretty close.

Finally got around to reading Newsweek's story
Bush and God*. As disturbing as some elements of the piece are (to me), the side-text is what caught my eye:
The Bush family attends church in Houston in 1964; George Sr. once taught Sunday school and George W. was an altar boy [blame me for emphasis]
There seems to be a small problem here...
Bush Family, circa 1964 = Presbyterian
George W., presently = Evangelical (kinda)
little altar boys, eternally = Catholic
A little Christian confusion at Newsweek?
* God denies having any sort of relationship with him. Jo-king!

If you haven't be reading Slate's
Live Report From Baghdad by Nate Thayer, you should be. (Slapping Slate in one post, applauding them in the next. I'm fickle, but consistently so.)

If anyone knows Will Saletan at all, please pass along the following message:
Better luck next time with your prognostications.

As most already know,
there was no magic surrender switch. Oh well,
hope springs eternal. Now excuse me while I go shut that faucet off.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

Anti-American bastard. Pass me a
jackhammer!

I was going to suggest someone get in touch with "
donny osmond" and let him know everything seems to be working fine; no further tests needed.
Then I fell for the sheer simplicity of the work, intentional or not. Every post is a test nothing more, nothing less. You can't make a mistake, or put forward a controversial opinion, or challenge someone's world view. Or have a joke fall flat. After all, you're just testing.
How sweet is that?
But, uh,
what happened Monday?
