blogged to a golden brown

I figure there must be something wrong when I start thinking "I should focus more effort towards political commentary on my blogs." Then I realize it's merely a fleeting concern when moments later I'm composing an entry for something like this.

A whole new level of peer pressure.

"We're not aiming to be another nonsense political party."

Good to know. Last thing anyone needs is yet one more hysterical group.

Be aware that the views and opinions noted in the news link & humorous comment above in no way reflect those of this blog and its owner. Honest.

How about a few more funny tech bits? It's my blog, so why am I asking? And who the hell am I talking to?

Speaking of Instapundit: Neal Pollack's Interview With The Instapundit.

Model Linux Geek an MS User Too? Not all that funny until the very end. Ok, not all that funny then, either. Still, I laughed.

Penises have higher bandwidth than cable modems... Sure - but there's nowhere to insert the ethernet cable. Well, nowhere sane.

Know the 'man bites dog' journalism adage I repeatedly refer to hereabouts? Well, there's a better alternative.

""It was a very good pair of shoes," the Rev. Craig Gonzales said."

What with a gun shot bouncing off one of them, I must concur. Perhaps doubly so, considering the assailant, Joseph George Barder, says he was aiming for the priest's head. Barder also notes one of the reasons for his attack was that he felt Rev. Gonzales wasn't providing adequate spiritual direction to his congregation. Who better to know than a homicidal maniac?

Anyway, some call it luck. Some call it an act of God. And some see it as proof Douglas Adams is still alive. Me? I merely agree with Rev. Gonzales' observation - very good shoes.

Around these parts, we take the health of our lobsters seriously.

Actually, the pic goes along with this story about a UNH study in which they found lobsters seem to 'enjoy' captivity (though I doubt what comes later is on their favorites list), and compete with other lobsters for the food in traps. I'm sure there's a suitable analogy to politicians to be discovered in all this.

"But the police said that there was no basis in fact for the vampire claims sweeping the country. "No one has come forward with evidence, be it medical, physical or otherwise," said police spokesman George Chikowi."

Those damn slippery vampires. Always causing problems, never leaving proof of it. Someone should look into this...

Speech, speech! Almost forgot what day it was [er, is] - though I really should be doing something. I mean, besides posting here.

When their porn surfing time is 'completed,' I'm sure smokers would find this quite useful.

Ah, weekends.
