blogged to a golden brown

Is this the sequel?

It rarely gets better than this (you'll need quicktime).

If the comedy reference eludes you, try starting here (more quicktime demands), and then go ahead and read this (just a browser required this time).

If all the blogs on the Web were laid end-to-end, they wouldn't account for any amount of distance at all, and that's a Very Good Thing®. Just ask Susie Felber. Oh, and the best thing about the blog post I link to is, the last sentence of her conclusion can be taken in two ways. At least two.

"...companies feared flaccid penises breached advertising standards and motorists craning their necks to look could cause accidents."

August should always end this way: not with a bang, but with a flaccid penis quote.

Some of you may have heard how video game developer and marketing brain-trust Acclaim Entertainment plans to offer $10,000 (in saving bonds) to the first morons family to have a child on September 1 and name it "Turok". This is of course after their same-named game, due to arrive into the world of capitalistic free-for-alls on that date.

My feelings? Bottom feeders obviously swam up to the shoreline and were immediately placed into positions of importance at Acclaim. But then I'm being kind.

Airbags for the Earth. It's stuff like this that keep science fiction fans (um, like myself) assured that real life is filled with eminently goofier ideas.

New personal pet peeve: people who use the word 'paradigm' correctly, but cannot spell it.

So I read the article, then I compared the before makeup magic photo to the after, and I thought:

Yeah, she's hot in the after, but I'd still go for her in the before without a twinge or second thought, because for crying out loud, she's Jamie Lee Curtis!

(noticed thanks to Jen paying it due attention)

Pulling feathers off a peacock, all thanks to A. Lamo. Hey, that's the guy's name, reverse irony and all (unless you're the FBI).

Spent the day talking to a person, then to a bunch of people, and had it all sandwiched between a drive I would never take five days a week, which if all the talking bears fruit, I would have to unless I moved. Interestingly enough, none of this had anything to do with a job interview. However, it was not interesting enough to write about.

In any case, today's guff was off-line, and all mine.

I thought the rule was an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a wedgie for a wedgie?

I've known for a while that the pseudo-zine Wired really isn't (or at least isn't any longer), but it's good to have them provide the proof. Yeah, they know what's going on online. Uh huh.
