A guff
reader (would that be a "guffer"?) informs me my original
blog bumper sticker concept is not all that original, thanks to the existence of
BlogStickers™. However, I find mine a better implementation, for the following reasons:
- Mine is much bigger, therefore far more readable.
- Mine uses a red border instead of black, as a real bumper sticker should.
- Mine is purely a joke.
Well, the universe once again takes something I devise and whacks me in the face with it. Thanks, universe. And thanks to you too, Gary (but not in a sarcastic way).

A warning note for all the would-be writers out there:
"A born writer is born scrofulous[*]; his career is an accident dictated by physical or circumstantial disabilities."
- Dylan Thomas
* scrof·u·lous (adj.)
- Relating to, affected with, or resembling scrofula.
- Morally degenerate; corrupt.

If I said it once, then I've said it at least once:
just say 'no' to drugs.

Just a little idea I came up with: blog bumper stickers. Now to work on how the hell I should market them...

Of all the important things to know (from
HowStuffWorks),
knuckle cracking is currently #1 in the Top 40 list. Present #1 question:
How does a gun silencer work. There's a connection here.

Are you desperate for a date? I mean are you really desperate? Are you so desperate you'd be willing to wait
7-10 years?

Revealing (unlike the image in the

This blog is now officially Rated R. OK, maybe PG-13.

Um,
wow. Or clink. Or something.

If I were the dad in
Little Buddha:
Lama Norbu holds up a cup of tea, drops and smashes it.
Lama Norbu: "In Tibet we think of the mind and the body as the content and the container. The cup is no longer the cup, but what is the tea? Like the mind after death, the tea moves from one container to the next, but it is still tea."
Lama Norbu wipes the tea from the floor with a cloth and squeezes it out into another cup. He smiles.
Lama Norbu: "Still tea."
Kafkaesquí: "I get it... but, uh, what if I drink the tea?"

Evan Williams (of
Blogger fame, for those who are
unaware) briefly notes that
software is a funny word. Agreed, Ev -- but then again, so is Blogger. Or
evhead for that matter.

A column over on MSNBC by Lisa Napoli (you're cute Lisa, but drop the self-indulgent email domain) suggests that we
install a GPS device in every newborn human, dog and kitten. As far as dogs and cats go I have no comment, but for the first in that list I'd suggest any columnist offering up ideas like this provide an accompanying essay bulleting
at least ten reasons why something like this could be dangerous (in an Orwellian sort of way). Believe me, ten is easy.

 | You are a geek. Good for you! Considering the endless complexity of the universe, as well as whatever discipline you happen to be most interested in, you'll never be bored as long as you have a good book store, a net connection, and thousands of dollars worth of expensive equipment. Assuming you're a technical geek, you'll be able to afford it, too. If you're not a technical geek, you're geek enough to mate with a technical geek and thereby get the needed dough. Dating tip: Don't date a geek of the same persuasion as you. You'll constantly try to out-geek the other.
