blogged to a golden brown

Can you say "the monkeys deserve to win?" At least they don't take these things so serious, and when you refer to Joseph Campbell's works within a comparative review on the Planet of the Apes films, you're taking it WAY too seriously.

Internet for Cats is a bit out of date now, wouldn't you say? Time for a revised edition, Judy. Nonetheless, I'm still looking into Internet for Wombats, if it exists anymore.

Thanks to spam email, I now have free panties!

Three authors I love, but hate to read:
Herman Melville
Has anyone out there ever been able to get past the first ten chapers of Moby Dick without it causing a headache?

James Joyce
Yeah I know, but every sentence comes out like poetry, even when it's about the snot green, scrotum-tightening sea. Just can't understand it in bulk, as in a page or two.

John Updike
Whenever I read his work, I end up sick -- with envy. Except for Toward the End of Time, which you could call a shot at Science Fiction. Not his best. Not good SF either.

As you can see from the following, all possible questions related to business procedure are handled by merely swiping answers from the Magic 8-Ball:

There is something seriously warped in religious thought (any religious thought -- or perhaps I mean all) when one can FAQ something like this:

Q. Do Buddhists believe in a god?
A. No, we do not. There are several reasons for this. The Buddha, like modem sociologists and psychologists, believed that religious ideas and especially the god idea have their origins in fear... There are numerous religions, all claiming that they alone have god’s words preserved in their holy book, that they alone understand god’s nature, that their god exists and that the gods of other religions do not.

Yet follow up elsewhere with:

Q. ...is there any proof that [Nirvana] exists?
A. No, there is not. But its existence can be inferred. If there is a dimension where time and space do operate and there is such a dimension - the world we experience, then we can infer that there is a dimension where time and space do not operate - Nirvana. Again, even though we cannot prove Nirvana exists, we have the Buddha’s word that it does exist.

I guess we can thank God Almighty the Buddha was not a liar...

"This is BLOODY brilliant!"
-From an Amazon.com review for the Eddie Murphy film, Vampire in Brooklyn

I am rather concerned about this quote. I hope you understand why.

I take it, you take it. We all have to. Now I'm just posting it.

Consider this a beginning. I do, but then again for me it is. guff is my loose collection of words and information that I (or on occasion, others) have dropped elsewhere, and I'd rather it was all in one location. Spare things and stray thoughts and gadgets of a non-physical nature. Little of it will matter much to anyone but me, but I wanted to collect it. This is now the place it goes.

Yeah. Instead, consider this a box.
